Agfa Graphics has added an automatic cutting plotter to its Anapurna and Jeti wide-format printer portfolio. The Acorta cutting plotter made its worldwide debut at the SGI 2015 tradeshow in Dubai (11-13 January 2015).

Acorta uses an auto recognition system that localises the printed objects and the position of the reference points on the cutting table, as well as the substrate’s height to avoid manual set-up of the job parameters. The unit provides cutting speeds of up to 102m/min with maximum automation and minimum operator intervention.

Dominiek Arnout, VP for Inkjet at Agfa Graphics said, ‘Delivering POP/POS materials is more than just printing on the right substrate. We are developing an all-integrated approach in which our customers can add an extra in-house finishing step, all driven from Asanti. Rendering, printing and cutting in one workflow allows them to be more productive, more efficient suppliers with a higher return on investment for their business.’
