Visitors could see PLEXIGLAS® solutions, including samples of their comprehensive range of sheets, rods and tubes as well as fabricated products in application, which include PLEXIGLAS® Hardcoat– available in gloss and matt – at the Graphics, Print and Sign Expo, which was held from 14-16 September at Gallagher Convention Centre.
Visitors could also see the ACRIFIX® range of specialist glues and take part in demonstrations and obtain sampling.
Additionally, visitors could learn about the company’s initiatives in sustainability and training. Roehm Africa is the only supplier in Africa able to recycle extruded acrylic products and is embarking on a campaign to promote sustainable use of PLEXIGLAS® XT through its recycling programme. Off-cuts, waste and end of life materials are returned through the campaign recycling and converted into a recycled extruded acrylic sheet branded, proTerra.
Up to 90% of recycled materials are used to produce this grade of extruded acrylic. The company also encourages people to partake in its training programme to learn more about how to use PLEXIGLAS® products effectively. With training centres in Johannesburg and Cape Town, the company targets fabricators, distributors, resellers and anyone who uses PLEXIGLAS®. In 2022, their training programme provided skills development for almost 1800 individuals covering topics like basic fabrication as well as adhesive bonding.
Interested parties can book group sessions, and training can take place at the training centres, or Roehm can send their technical trainer to conduct onsite training at the customers premises.
