Abbey Road project uses Mactac Film.

A Mactac project, using digital printing film JT 5829 R protected with anti-slip FloorGrip, from artist couple Les Nivaux, offers a chance to walk across the famous London Abbey Road pedestrian crossing (made famous by the Beatles) – in the heart of a church.

The couple digitise iconic places around the world, and then transport them to other locations. Their work is ushering in an innovative and unprecedented approach to photography.

To celebrate the festival of contemporary art of Avignon, Nivaux reproduced the pedestrian crossing in every detail in the heart of Les Celestins church at Avignon. The 32sqm floor artwork was printed by French company ATC, using Mactac digital printing and anti-slip FloorGrip.

The three-week exhibition ‘CROSS THE SCAN – ABBEY ROAD’ invited the public to experience their own crossing, take pictures and share them on social networks.
