Midcomp has installed an HP Stitch S1000 at Nyalu Communications. The highly versatile new HP Stitch S1000 Fabric and Textile Dye Sublimation Printer gives users the option to print directly to fabric or on to transfer paper, simplifying workflows without compromising on results, while native 1200dpi printheads deliver work of the highest quality together with deep blacks and vivid colours.
Nyalu Communications, which has been in business for around 15 years, started off as a promotional printing business, namely with T-shirts and caps, before venturing into embroidery. Soon after, the company grew into large format printing.
‘Quality is one distinctive advantage we have seen with the HP Stitch S1000,’ said Nyalu owner Ephraim Mashisani, who described the machine as a big improvement compared with other printers used in the past.
A particular highlight of the printer for the Nyalu owner is that since acquiring the machine, him and his team have only had to run a proof once for every job before it is approved, ‘Clients are always happy the first time,’ he added, emphasising the printer’s colour quality. ‘This machine is able to keep up with the demands and we are able to meet our expected delivery times to our clients, partners or stakeholders.’
Another bonus of the printer, said Mashisani, is that no outsourcing is required – the team at Nyalu Communications are able to do everything in-house. ‘I do believe it is the best in the industry,’ he continued, ‘We have had so many big nationwide campaigns that we are running on that machine for blue chip companies.’ He added that their clients have commented on the high quality of work produced on the printer.
While the printer will continue to help with the company’s most prominent markets, which span financial institutions, the petroleum industry, outdoor advertising, government departments to a smaller extent, and the private sector to a larger extent, it has made space for new markets, especially exhibitions. ‘We are able to brand entire exhibitions with this machine. Also, advertising agencies partner with us because they know our quality of work.’
He also praised Midcomp’s service, stating that they have been helpful in many ways and that he was happy with their after-sales service.
