Pieter Kleynhans, Trotec Laser South Africa’s senior technician and IT manager, expanded on the company’s innovative new Ruby software at the recent Graphics, Print and Sign expo.
The software enables a smoother and simpler operation of laser engraving and cutting, covering management, design, placement and job queue/running. Practically any file may be imported and facilitated through the software, and edited according to the user’s desire.
Files can be sent from any device, including laptops, tablets, desktop PCs and mobile phones, and can be made ready to be sent from another location straight to the person operating the laser cutting and engraving machine.
The software is being constantly developed and updated, and users can expect an announcement of more innovative features to come during December. The current version is free for download for all Trotec Speedy range users until the end of November.
This technology will offer laser users unprecedented added value and will set new standards.
