Metamark’s banner stands and print media were creatively used by APS Graphics in a project that required eye-catching murals.
Celestron needed a portable and easily deployed backdrop to take from venue to venue when exhibiting its products and spoke to Graham Coule and the team at Swindon based APS Graphics to discuss the possibilities.
Having considered what Celestron wanted, something amounting to a ‘mobile mural’ appeared to fill the need. The deliverable had to be portable, easily deployed and impactful when set in situ. The solution proposed is truly ‘out of the box’: an assembly of Metamark DS-200 pull-up banner stands that could be arranged, shoulder-to-shoulder, would achieve all of the project’s design goals.
The APS team printed a carefully imposed design showcasing Earth’s moon and the deeper expanses of the cosmos across the Metamark MD-RU330 Grey-Back Roll Up Material selected for the job. This material prints brilliantly, it is an MD-Class digital material after all, and it is engineered to survive repeated winding and extension.
The assembled grouping of banner stands registers as one big image and can be deployed and recovered in minutes. It makes a very powerful backdrop promoting Celestron and effectively obscuring what might not be the most flattering view behind it. Nothing in the rule book says the whole assembly has to be used every time it gets an outing. This is one mural that is truly adaptable to it circumstances.
