Barbieri Electronic has announced an upgraded intelligent measuring technology, Spectro LFP qb Textile Edition, for automatic colour measuring in digital dye-sublimation and direct-to-garment printing.
The special holder fixes the textile firmly and the camera and according software detects the centre of each patch to be measured and the measurements will be done fully automatically – even if the chart is distorted.
The measurement head can be detached for manual spot measurements and results sent to the computer – resulting in two devices in one – and automatic and spot measurements done with the same device, which leads to maximum accuracy.
Application fields
• Textiles are measured in the most accurate and repeatable way – because of large measurement aperture, fully automatic measurements, special holders, air blowing system to prevent textile fibres contaminating the optics and camera-based patch recognition.
• Linearisation and profiling of digital textile printers (dye-sublimation and direct-to-garment).
• Detachable spectral unit for spot colour measurements (spot colour reproduction and spot colour comparisons).
• Measurement of fluorescent inks.
Main features
• Special textile holder for easy and secure fixation of textiles for measurements.
• Sensing Unit and special software algorithms to detect the centre of each patch in order. Distorted charts can also be measured automatically.
• Air blowing system to prevent textile fibres contaminating the optics.
• Detachable measuring head (spectral unit) for spot colour measurements.
• Measurement of fluorescent inks.
• Textiles which can entirely be automatically measured: cotton, silk, polyester, viscose, cotton, wool, linen and mixed fabrics.
System requirements
• Microsoft Windows XP or later (32 and 64 bit).
• Mac OS X 10.5 or later (Intel).
