Enfocus recently received the Association for Print Technologies’ RED HOT Technology Vanguard Breakthrough Award. Enfocus was first recognised for Red Hot Technology in the category of Colour Management, Prepress and Premedia for innovative new features in the 2018 version of the popular PDF prefight and editing application, PitStop Pro. This Vanguard Breakthrough award builds on the earlier recognition and the innovations in the 2018 version of PitStop Pro.
The trophy was accepted by Andrew Bailes-Collins, senior product manager at the PRINT 18 media event at McCormick Place in Chicago. The RED HOT Technology Recognition Programme showcases the newest products shown at the annual PRINT 18 event. A Breakthrough Award product is recognised to help advance an existing technology or process and open new business opportunities for end users.
For the second year in a row, PitStop has been recognised by the Association for Print Technologies for innovations in the area of PDF editing and quality control. This year PitStop Pro 2018 is released with many noteworthy feature additions. From gaining detailed production insight through an all new dashboard, to simplifying the creation of Action Lists and powerful new editing tools, PitStop 2018 users will have the most advanced PDF preflight and editing tool on the market.

One of the key new features of PitStop 2018 is the Action List Visualiser. The Action List automates sequences of changes to a PDF file and allows users a high level of flexibility to create their own customised preflight checks, fixes and edits. Action Lists can be created for individual jobs or customers to improve the production process and reduce the need for operators to manually select and correct elements of a PDF. With the new Action List Visualiser, it’s all about saving time and making life easy. In PitStop 2018, users can now easily see what an Action List is doing step-by-step, enabling them to swiftly identify and resolve challenges within an Action List, and lowering the technical knowledge required to get the most benefit out of this powerful functionality.
A Dashboard is available on an opt-in basis to provide a graphic representation of PitStop activities, showing valuable production metrics. Production personnel and managers can view historic and live data regarding number of jobs, failed jobs, common errors and production trends.
PitStop 2018 makes even more advances by introducing the ability to Generate Barcodes, and Hard Crop Line art. It also comes with improved Line Art Editing Tools, New PANTONE functionality and improved integration with Enfocus Switch.
