Kolok Graphic Supplies has launched its in-house brand Stingray, an all-in-one solution that encompasses media, ink and hardware. The solution will be showcased at the upcoming Sign Africa and FESPA Africa Expo, taking place from 12-14 September at Gallagher Convention Centre.
Media
The Stingray range of large format media includes self-adhesive vinyls, wallpapers, PVCs, canvas and laminates. Kolok has spent an extensive amount of time and resources working with suppliers to develop a range of media unique to South African consumers’ needs, with strong emphasis on cost efficiency, quality, ease of use and compatibility with a wide range of technologies. Further testing has been conducted through the skills and expertise of the company’s parters, such as NUtec.
Hardware
The Stingray-branded textile/solvent printer is a 1.8m dual DX5 print head machine that prints up to 30sqm/hour, and is available in eco-solvent and dye sublimation formats respectively. The Stingray printer is bundled with media profiles optimised for the Stingray range of wide format media. SAI RIP software is used for both formats, and is also compatible with other wide format printing machines.
For eco-solvent applications, the machine uses NUtec Diamond D10. For dye sublimation NUtec Aquamarine AQ10 is used. Both inks are part of the Stingray bundle.
