Mutoh has introduced the new ValueJet 1604WX 1625mm (64”) wide budget dye sub printer. Used for transfer paper printing and direct printing onto closed non-stretch polyester fabrics, the machine is compact and budget friendly.
The 1604WX is the water-based tuned version of the existing ValueJet 1604X sign and display printer. The key difference is that the new VJ-1604WX does not have incorporated heaters but does integrate a sheet-off system.
The CMYK printer will fit the needs of start-ups and established businesses looking for a wider printer for soft signage, interior and in-store deco as well as transfer to objects. Easy to operate and maintain, the printer will deliver production speeds up to 22sqm/h at 360 x 1080 dpi – 3 pass.
The VJ-1604WX uses Mutoh DS2 series dye sublimation inks, suited for both sublimation transfer printing and direct printing onto closed synthetic (polyester) fabrics.
