Gandy Digital unveiled the new Gladi8tor. The printer is available in two print widths: 1.2 x 2.4m and 2m x 3m and is driven by an inline ‘eight blade’ printhead configuration that means a double CMYK set-up can deliver twice the speed of Gandy’s Domin8tor and Pred8tor models.
The printer uses six picolitre Ricoh Gen 4 printheads. Customers can buy a four-colour system and upgrade to six- or eight-colours as required for the higher speed capability.
The Gladi8tor provides a double white ink capability and a new layered print option, and can run the new Gandy Digital Pred8tor High Adhesion UV Inks. It will accept media up to 50mm thick.
The Gladi8tor UV printer was revealed at FESPA 2015 (18-22 May, Cologne).
