Roland held its Dealer Team Building weekend in Clarens from 19-21 July where the company donated 14 computers to Clarens Primary School.

The fourteen teams spent Saturday in Clarens solving clues and retrieving computer components from 16 locations. This included a trip by car to Fouriesburg and the Golden Gate National Park Hotel. Teams had to reach all 16 locations by solving riddles and clues. They were then given tasks to do by store owners in the area and in return were given a part of a computer.

The tasks included dancing a jig, playing hop scotch with children from Clarens Primary School, playing Soccer, eating a cup cakes and more. Once all 16 locations were visited, the teams had to return to base and assemble a computer. Team four, consisting of Vicky Littleton from Indisol Cape town, Chantelle Moffet from HFS Bloemfontein, Armando Gemo from Archa Mozambique and Stephen Graham of Ivyline won a R15 000 cash prize.

Bob Glenister, MD, Telpro, will install the 14 computers, which will make a huge difference to the 300 school children, this week. ‘The participants blew me away with their camaraderie and amazing ability to reach across so many artificial divides. The people of Clarens could not stop talking about what wonderful people visited their town,’ said Glenister.

The second placed team was Team 7, who share R10 000. The third placed team was Team 9 and they share R5000.
