Drytac ViziPrint Impress Clear film is an optically clear versatile solution for self-adhesive applications on glass and other smooth, flat surfaces. Digital printing business Berry & Homer, and parent fabrication and installation company Roe Fabricators, recently used Drytac ViziPrint Impress Clear optically clear PET film to complete a stunning interior graphics project at the National Constitution Centre in Philadelphia.
The state-of-the-art museum is dedicated to the study of the US Constitution. For this project, Berry & Homer was given the task of producing decorative graphics for a glass railing inside the venue. However, it was not quite as simple as just printing and installing graphics, with Berry & Homer having to abide by certain restrictions at the venue.
‘The National Constitution Centre was very strict about what could be placed on the glass surfaces,’ said Tyler Pendzik, who works as Designer and Social Media Manager for Berry & Homer. ‘Their main concern was ensuring no adhesive residue was left behind.’
For this reason, Berry & Homer chose ViziPrint Impress Clear from Laird Plastics, an authorised Drytac distribution partner. Made for easy installation on glass and other smooth surfaces, the film is optically clear, making it perfect for high-end applications like those at the National Constitution Centre. It also uses Drytac’s unique adhesion technology, allowing it to be removed cleanly without leaving any residue, which was essential for their needs.
After printing the impactful design onto the optically clear film in-house using its Epson SureColor S80600L, Berry & Homer and Roe Fabricators completed the installation in line with the quick turnaround time set by the client.
‘The installation turned out great,’ Pendzik said. ‘The client loved it and we’re happy we made the call to use this film. The customer was then able to cleanly remove the film themselves after the event with ease.’
