Join the Midcomp HP specialists in unpacking growth opportunities for your business with HP Latex technology, white ink capabilities and sustainable solutions. At Midcomp’s HP Innovation Open Day on 16 July, you can discover HP Latex technology’s health and safety benefits, high-quality results and how it provides the ultimate versatility across all common media types. This is a sponsored article.
If you’re thinking about the high-value applications you can go after by printing with white ink, it’s time to look into HP Latex technology, which is designed to address both the opportunities and the challenges associated with printing white.
HP’s innovative automatic recirculation system continually recirculates the white ink both within the ink delivery system and at the printhead, and is designed to prevent clogging and maintain a ready-to-print state.
HP Latex white ink has been designed to achieve a remarkably opaque, visually strong, ‘whitest white’ by using exterior grade titanium dioxide pigments. The white ink is layered smoothly, evenly and flat so it takes on the shape of the media. It reflects light directly and uniformly for a high gloss consistency which helps preserve the media texture on materials such as aluminium or wallpaper.
HP Latex ink is water-based. This means it contains no hazardous air pollutants (HAPs), as is the case with solvent-based inks, and as such requires no hazard-warning labels. Even better, it produces odourless prints that are easy to work with, even in indoor spaces, without special ventilation. Odourless prints made with water-based inks are suitable for use in environments such as schools, hospitals and other places with stringent health and safety criteria controlling the use of solvents.
Some of the printer highlights being showcased at the open house event include:
HP Latex 630W
Expand your in-house capabilities with white ink printing that’s incredibly easy to use and maintain with automatic maintenance processes. Print sharp text and vivid colours on high-impact stickers with the HP Latex 630 printer series’ expanded colour gamut. Stickers dry instantly for immediate lamination, plus you get best-in-class laminate-to-print adhesion without using HP Overcoat.
HP Latex 800W
Win high-value jobs with white ink and productive printing and sharpen your sustainability edge. Print white without complexity — the printer features automatic recirculation and printhead cleaning, which reduce manual purging. Deliver vivid colours at high speed, get striking contrast using pure blacks and expect sharp 4-point text.
HP Latex 2700W
The HP Latex 2700W printers offer white ink at printing speeds of up to 54sqm/hr (581 square feet/hr), allowing PSPs to produce high-margin applications on pre-coloured and transparent media. Automatic ink recirculation and white printheads that can be stored in an offline rotating chamber eliminate waste between white jobs.
HP Latex R2000
The HP Latex R Series merges the flexible printing capabilities of HP into rigid printing. The series brings the most vibrant colours into the rigid printing world, and pioneers white ink capabilities. Set yourself apart from your competition with applications that provide the glossiest whites on transparent and coloured media with high-opacity white that resists yellowing over time.
Be a winner at Midcomp’s HP Innovation Open Day with product experts showing you the latest HP technology and inks to help you beat the competition. The winning doesn’t end there!
