3M South Africa has announced new Scotchlite Print Wrap Film 780mC-10R, Print Wrap Film IJ180mC-10 and IJ180mC-120 products and Wrap Film Series 1080 colours. The company also announced the first 3M endorsed installers in Africa, who took part in workshops held recently at 3M’s offices in Sandton.
Scotchlite™ Print Wrap Film 780mC-10R
Engineered with wider retro-reflective viewing angles, this white print film’s chief advancement lies in its increased conformability and heat-recovery properties. The film handles the rigorous vehicle wrapping process with little to no bruising and opens the door to a breadth of reflective vinyl applications including walls, moveable assets and parking structures. This multifaceted film enables installers to create dynamic graphics that offer brilliant brand visibility and safety with a daytime sparkle or nighttime shine.
The film heals itself with heat recovery, helping minimise bruising for optimal reflectivity. Increased conformability handles curves and complex shapes and Comply™ Adhesive with micro technology provides efficient installation and easier removal. It draws attention to vehicles, textured walls, parking structures and more.

Print Wrap Film IJ180mC-10 and IJ180mC-120
IJ180mC-10 is a dependable print film fine-tuned for wraps while IJ180mC-120 is the first printable metallic wrap film to give vehicles an attention-grabbing finish. Both films have Comply™ Adhesive with micro technology, which provides excellent air release for smooth results. They also feature slideability and initial tack, they stretch 130% without primer, will not lift and have excellent liner release.
Wrap Film Series 1080
3M is proud to introduce six new additions to the flagship 3M™ Wrap Film Series 1080 line, including three revolutionary colour flip options featuring Gloss Flip Electric Wave, Satin Flip Caribbean Shimmer and Satin Flip Glacial Frost. Along with the three colour flip options, the expansion of 3M Wrap Film Series 1080 also includes Gloss Storm Gray, Satin Gold, Dust Black and Satin Frozen Vanilla.
The trio of colour flip shades, Electric Wave, Caribbean Shimmer and Glacial Frost, exhibit lively polychromatic effects that create unique, multi-colour dimensions that shift under different viewing angles and lighting. These iridescent films refract vibrant hues of purple, deep teal and soft blue, creating an invigorating prismatic finish for fresh new vehicle wraps and graphics.
These additions bolster Series 1080 with a unique twist on classic, neutral tones, offering installers the ability to capture beautiful textured sparkles with the Black and Vanilla Satin finishes, and a vibrant sheen with the Gloss Storm Grey.
3M Wrap Film Series 1080 is made in 152,4cm (60”)-wide rolls, so installers can easily cover vehicle sections without seams. The new colour flip options possess excellent dimensional stability, repositionability, high durability, and permanent adhesive.
