3A Composites’ KAPA line and LUMEX A have been used in the construction of a social distancing screen in Spain.

3A Composites’ materials are being used to make social distancing screens and other protective mechanisms in the fight against COVID-19. Clear sheets are not the only materials being used to produce safety screens, very often, a material combination is necessary. This is why 3A Composites’ KAPA line and LUMEX A have been used in the construction of social distancing screens in Spain.

KAPA is a lightweight foam board with a polyurethane foam core, while LUMEX A is a premium amorphous polyethylene terephthalate (APET). LUMEX A convinces with its very high chemical resistance against cleaning agents, mineral oils and solvents. Moreover the sheets are flame retardant rated B – s1, d0 according to EN 13501-1 (difficult-to-ignite) and are 100% recyclable.

For those looking for materials for clear sheets, screens, protection barriers, partitioning and face shields, the following materials are the right choices:

• PERSPEX.
• CRYLUX.
• CRYLON.
• AKRYLON.
• IMPEX.
• HIPEX.
• LUMEX.
• POLYCASA SAN.
• POLYCASA PS.

3A Composites’ South African distribution partners are busy supplying materials for various local applications and doing their bit to fight COVID-19. Lynn Smith is available to customers and end-users to advise on suitable materials, applications, fabrication directions and local availability.
