Senzo Nzama of Legend Tees was declared the ultimate winner of the 2018 Speed Wrap Challenge at the FESPA Africa and Sign Africa expos. He has won a trip to compete at the FESPA World Wrap Masters Final at FESPA Global Print Expo, Munich 2019.
Following close behind in second place was Gareth James and in third Vaughn Repsold, both from Wrap Academy.
The event was sponsored by platinum sponsor Roland, vinyl sponsors Grafiwrap (distributed by Maizey Plastics), HEXIS (distributed by Falcon), and expo sponsors FESPA Africa and Sign Africa.
The daily challenges, which took place from 12-14 September at Gallagher Convention Centre, involved participants racing against the clock to wrap a vehicle door to the best standards. The last challenge saw the top three competitors having to wrap a mannequin’s torso in record time.
‘I am very happy to have won,’ said Nzama, ‘I have been praying to accomplish this, which has been my dream. I look forward to gaining experience while I am in Germany.’
