The SUPERSTAR 2013 competition is now open for entries. viscom düsseldorf, in cooperation with display Verlag (institutional patron of the ‘display’ special exhibition and the SUPERSTAR competition) is looking for the best POS solutions, displays, packaging and sales display cabinets.
At viscom, the most innovative entries will be rewarded with the SUPERSTAR award. The deadline for applications is 6 September. The SUPERSTAR is awarded to complex and elaborate displays and POS solutions. The focus is on state-of-the-art product packaging reflecting the current trends, technologies and finishing possibilities now available on the market.
Among other things, the search is for the most original solutions in the fields of floor, counter, light and information displays, as well as digital signage and metal systems. The prize will be awarded in seven categories, including wood, plastic, metal, cardboard digital and small series displays as well as packaging. In addition, special prizes will be awarded for the best design, the best technical realisation and the most innovative solutions. Up to three prizes can be awarded per category.
Manufacturers, producers and clients can take part in the competition and enter an unlimited number of products. The admitted exhibits will be shown from 7 to 9 November at the ‘display’ special exhibition on the SUPERSTAR Area which is part of the Display PoS Expo, a special area at viscom.
A jury of experts, consisting of four to six marketing professionals and PoS managers from the industry, retail and agency segments and changing in composition every year evaluates the entries. Evaluation criteria include design, function, communication, technical realisation and innovation. The winners will be announced on 7 November at approximately 7 p.m. during the SUPERSTAR Night Winners Gala 2013.
